Sony’s put together a collection of basic interaction concepts that don’t involve using a keyboard (or keypad). One of them is the idea of a bendable display:
“Data browsing can be troublesome. But with Gummi, all you have to do is bend the display toward you to magnify the content on your screen, and bend it back to zoom out. How’s that for an intuitive way to interact with data? It’s called “Gummi.” A concept made possible by the creation of bendable displays.”
